“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.”
The hand you bow under is the hand that holds you. Bending low there is the safest place in the world.
Humbling yourself is trust in motion: you release control because you know who holds you.
The lifting has a date — on God's calendar, not yours. Waiting with Him is never wasted time.
The next verse completes the invitation: cast all your anxiety on Him. Humility also means letting God carry the weight.
A seed spends a season hidden in the soil before the harvest. The low season is not abandonment; it is preparation.
Act: before breakfast, open your hands, name your heaviest worry, and place it under God's hand for today.
