“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Paul does not say "I hope" — he says "I am sure." God's love allows for conviction, not just wishful thinking.
Death, life, angels, powers, things present, things to come — Paul walks through every possible threat and dismisses each one.
"Nor things present nor things to come" — what has not happened yet cannot separate you either. Tomorrow is already inside the promise.
This love is "in Christ Jesus" — anchored in His work, not in the strength of your grip. He is the one holding on.
Feeling far from God does not mean being far. On cold days, choose the truth of the text over the thermometer of emotion.
Act: before breakfast, write "nothing can separate me from the love of God" on a card and leave it where your eyes will land all day.
